Amanda: We started out doing a lot of direct mail, direct marketing, and then we've really grown to working on a ton of digital work.

Jose: Having JPMorgan Chase as a client has definitely made a big difference in helping me grow my business.

Amanda: Since we've taken on the JPMorgan Chase account, I've watched it grow tremendously through the years.

Jose: When I started in advertising, I realized early on that supplier diversity is really important to a firm like Bandujo because when you're looking for photographers, market research firms, production companies, you're always looking for individuals that can reflect the very diverse community that we are marketing to.

Thai: In early 1980's, women of Korean descent did not go to business schools.

Melissa: When Thai purchased Software House International in 1989, we were a one million dollar software reseller only with a handful of customers.

Melissa: Fast-forward 28 years later, we've got, of the Fortune 100, probably about 90 of them are SHI customers. And our growth -- $1,000,000 only in '89 to 7.5 billion, without merger or acquisition.

Thai: JPMorgan Chase has had very positive effect on SHI.

Gopal: There's been a lot of knowledge that we have gained from working with J.P.Morgan as to how certain things should be done.

Gopal: And on the reverse side, there's a lot of knowledge that we have acquired from working from other Fortune 50 clients that we have been able to apply towards J.P.Morgan. So, I would say the relationship is a win-win for both parties.

Ed: SHI started as an MWBE, and a lot of our early success can be tied to some of the advantages that we gained through the program.

Ed: And we feel that the best way to pay back to that program is to also partner with vendors who qualify as minority-diversity businesses.

Thai: I believe women bring different aspects of leadership, and working with other minority and woman-owned businesses really helps SHI become a better company. Technology changes, and large companies like JPMorgan Chase are also changing very rapidly to meet the needs of the changing market, as well as their consumers. So, it is very important that we continue to work with JPMorgan Chase to help them meet their demands. We are always growing and learning.

One of the things I promised myself many years ago, is I don't want to wake up at 85 years old, and have any regrets.

I think about 1990, I'm thinking about this company. Who calls a company "World Wide Technology," with five people, 4,000 square feet? What's world-wide about this?

When we were originally founded, we were very different from what we are today.

World Wide Technology simply put, builds complex technology infrastructure solutions for large, enterprise businesses, and we also write software that bring that infrastructure to life. Something, that was very intentional as we grew the business was the focus on our people and our culture.

The relationship between JPMC and World Wide Technology goes back nearly eight years ago, when WWT was expanding onto the East Coast.

Dave:

JPMorgan Chase was looking for a partner that could help with the deployment of some of the technology into the branches. They were also very interested in the fact that WWT was a minority-owned business.

It was important for us to create a supplier diversity program, so that we can help coach and mentor companies like we were coached and mentored in the early days.

World Wide Technology gave us the opportunity -- the first minority business to build a seven-story office tower.

When we first started in 2002, we were doing revenues of two million dollars, to this year revenues of ninety million dollars. That would have never been achievable without individuals like Dave Steward.

JPMorgan Chase has really pushed us to expand our business. We're moving into Europe, we're moving into Asia. Last year, WWT grew our top-line revenue by over 30%. Over one billion of that revenue was generated by business that we saw coming from our overseas locations.

Daniel: Veteran Sourcing Group started six years ago. My partner John Cassese saw Signet about homeless vets in San Diego and, we're in the staffing business, so we decided, why don't we try to find them jobs?

Daniel: We go to companies like J.P. Morgan and we meet with hiring managers, we supply them with consultants. We'll give you their resumes, we'll fill the requests and requirements that you have.
